What is Gumloop?
By Riley Park · Last verified: October 2026
Gumloop is an AI agent builder for whole teams: non-technical staff build AI agents on the model of their choice, connect them to company tools, and use them inside Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Gmail, while IT controls access and spend. It began in 2023 as a drag-and-drop workflow automation tool, and workflows are still part of every plan. Pricing starts at $37 a month (Pro, 20,000 credits) after a 14-day free trial; there is no free plan. Verified on gumloop.com, October 8, 2026.
What does Gumloop do? You build an agent, give it access to your company's tools, and run it on a schedule, when an event happens, or in a chat. Gumloop's agents can also work in a real web browser with saved logins, and its Gumball agent is pitched as a proactive assistant that runs in your company's own cloud. A model router picks a model for each task to keep costs down.
Is Gumloop a workflow tool or an agent builder? Both, with the weight now on agents. Gumloop started as a drag-and-drop workflow builder, and its pricing page still lists concurrent workflow runs on every plan; its homepage now calls it "the multiplayer AI agent builder," and its pricing page labels workflows Legacy. DDR re-scored Gumloop on its agent product in October 2026.
How much does Gumloop cost? Pro starts at $37 a month with 20,000 credits a month, 5 concurrent workflow runs, and 25 concurrent agent chats. Enterprise is custom, with options such as deployment in your own cloud (VPC). Usage is metered in credits (1 credit is $0.005), and Gumloop adds an 8% orchestration fee on top of an agent's model, compute, and tool-call credits. There is a 14-day free trial but no free plan; see Is Gumloop free?.
Is Gumloop safe to use? Gumloop is built for company-wide use with IT in control: its site lists single sign-on, role-based permissions, audit logs, spend tracking, and deployment in your own cloud (VPC) on Enterprise. Like any agent platform, it acts with the access you give it, so start agents on the narrowest permissions that do the job.
Who makes Gumloop? Gumloop was founded in 2023, originally as AgentHub, by Max Brodeur-Urbas (CEO) and Rahul Behal (CTO), and went through Y Combinator's Winter 2024 batch. It is based in San Francisco and has raised about $70 million, including a $50 million Series B led by Benchmark in March 2026.
How does DDR rate Gumloop? DDR Score 8.63, the highest of the six AI agent builders DDR scores, listed as a Strong Performer rather than a Category Leader because fewer than 20 usable independent reviews of it exist: a full agent feature set with approval rules, evaluations and spend controls, 250+ connectors and the fastest verified release pace in the category, weighed against the thinnest user review base.
